The Jungle Book & the Second Jungle Book (4974)

The Jungle Book is in fine condition very bright blue and the gilt is also very bright, Gilt Elephants & their  handlers on the front board, spine with a rearing Cobra at a Mongoose, Gilt title name and publisher on the spine gilt edges all round, ( a fantastic copy) 212pp.

The Second Jungle Book in very good condition but not as bright as the other volume,  Boards and spine just a little dull and the gilt titles name and publisher with a standing woman with snake wrapping around her gilt Cobra on the front board gilt edges all around, 238 pp.

Both published by Macmillan  London in 1894 Illustrated by J L Kipling , W H drake & P Frenzeny  & 1895 for the second book, illustrated by J Lockwood Kipling
