An extremily rare copy of this most famous anti Cromwell pamplet, first published in Holland ” said to have “struck terror into the mind of Cromwell as to render the concluding part of his life miserable” Edward Sexby smuggled copies of the Dutch edition into England and was arrested while trying to leave the country, he died in the Tower having confessed to authorship. The pamplet of 27 pages is fragile the title page has been stuck on to fresh paper many years ago with 1″ added to the top with no loss of text ( photos on request) two library stamps are present here from the Carnegie free library and Museum Limerickther are three more stamps, there is damp staining and foxing . Rebound in brown leather with marbled boards gilt title and date to spine . RARE.
